Dentures
Full Dentures
Full dentures are removable appliances used to replace teeth when all remaining teeth have been extracted.

Partial dentures
Partial dentures are removable appliances used to fill the gap left by missing teeth. A partial denture is supported by other teeth with clasps. There are 2 available materials: acrylic and cobalt chrome.
Acrylic
A cheaper option of the two, acrylic dentures are bulkier than cobalt chrome dentures. It however allows for the denture to be relined if required hence a good option for immediate dentures.
Cobalt chrome
A more expensive option, cobalt chrome dentures are very thin, strong, lightweight and accurately fitting appliances. It is not usually recommended for immediate dentures.

Immediate dentures
Immediate dentures are removable appliances that are placed immediately after the teeth are removed. As the bone shrinks after an extraction, an immediate denture usually requires a reline after 3 months.
Flexible dentures
Flexible dentures are removable appliances that are usually used to replace a small gap. It is light and flexible but does not allow for relines, additions or repairs if it breaks.
Implant retained dentures
An implant-retained denture is a removable appliance similar to a full denture but snaps into the underlying implants. Implant-retained dentures have improved retention and stability and are a good option for patients who struggle with a traditional full denture.
